I need information about this beacon. The beacon rotates but does not glow :(

Maybe anyone have this light in his collection and could show me, what is missing.

Interesting. From the photos it looks like the bulb gets power from a connection at the bottom of the shaft.

Have you tested the bulb and checked for voltage inside the light housing? Is that tab under the shaft making connection?

It appears that the center rod that spins the light is hollow. I'm guessing that there was a rod that went down through the middle of it that rode on that connection under the light, and the other end was attached to the light. A wire would twist and break, but the rod could spin.

Is the shaft that spins the light insulated, or does it ground out? If you can't find that piece you could probably make one. My guess would be that the light had a rod with a connection in the middle of it that insulated it from the frame, rode on that connection, and had a connection on the other or for the bulb.

Or...

I'm completely wrong. 🥴

Thanks,

There is only a rubber at the bulb holder. I think there is a kind of "plastic/metal nail" missing.
Google is no helpful to find pictures of a 7-60 :(

When you post a picture click to insert them fullsize instead of thumbnail. It makes them easier to see.

No worries. I edited your posts so people can get a better look.

I'm thinking to better understand how your light works, look at a Unity spotlight.

While it's not the same thing, it may help you understand how it likely works.

Is that wire in the housing hot or ground? If it's hot you could just go down the same route that Unity did for their beacons and create a shunt to the housing for ground. Assuming the assembly housing is ground.. which is usually the case.

Housing is ground, the bulb turn arround if i gave + to engine but the bulb is not shining because its missing "+"

I almost wonder if there was a brush that makes contact with the tab coming off the + plate. this would allow the wire to spin as the lamp rotates. There are other ways to do the same thing, just thinking out loud.
