Good Question, that all depends on what I can scrounge up dome wise. I have some NOS domes still sitting around from past projects, and I was debating setting it up like some I have seen for the FDNY.

My first response would be this one..
Mostly because I had to completely rebuild that bar from the ground up, and its the only Short AeroDynic I have.
Then I would probably go with my FDNY Twinsonic. This bar was always interesting to me, but the NOS clear domes really...
I almost wonder if there was a brush that makes contact with the tab coming off the + plate. this would allow the wire to spin as the lamp rotates. There are other ways to do the same thing, just thinking out loud.
Is that wire in the housing hot or ground? If it's hot you could just go down the same route that Unity did for their beacons and create a shunt to the housing for ground. Assuming the assembly housing is ground.. which is usually the case.
The Gear driven Aero's came out in 77, though I have seen some with motors dated 76 so I am 80/20 on that. The non halogen used 1195 bayonet style bulbs, as these were found in other Federal lights like the Fireball. Halogen models used the H1 bulb.
