Arjent dome removal question...

I purchased a Few Arjent bars (I presume for my question the Vista would be the same) and wondering the best method to remove the lower domes? They have screws in the center but use a double sided adhesive strip to hold the outer edges to the frame. I wanted to clean up the lowers by removing them but that adhesive has a good grip. I was thinking of using a long knife to saw through it but wondering what others have done without breaking the dome?

(I might part one out if someone is interested in parts from a blue SL)

I used a hair dryer on high heat to heat up the double sided tape then carefully pried with a flat blade screwdriver on the one that I had and parted out.

Thanks, I might give that a shot. I thought about that but the only place to heat is the dome above the strip (and not directly on the strip like decal removal). I also have concerns over cracking the dome in the process.

Yes, I was very cautious with it and was able to do so without issue. Good luck Jenn!

Thanks. Ill give it a shot when I get around to it. Can a hair dryer cause heat damage to the dome? I would think the heat would be spread out enough to not cause damage but still curious (not continually localized like a halogen bulb).

I am sure it could eventually cause issues if it was held on high in the same spot at close proximity for an extended period of time.
